Smithville Marine has announced the addition of the Skeeter line of high-performance tournament and fishing boats to their family of industry-leading boats at their dealership in Smithville, Missouri. Kent Hinz, who along with his wife Stacie, owners of Smithville Marine, agreed, “After several months of negotiations, Skeeter Boats has named Smithville Marine its exclusive boat dealership in the Kansas City, St. Joseph, and Topeka metropolitan areas — actually, the territory encompasses a much larger area extending into Iowa and Nebraska.”

Skeeter is one of the country’s oldest line of fiberglass tournament and fishing boats. No other boat manufacturer boasts the rich history and heritage of Skeeter. For almost seven decades, generations of anglers have trusted Skeeter for their best fishing memories.

Smithville Marine was established in 1983 and during the nearly four decades of business, the independent dealership has become a pillar of the boating community serving boaters throughout the Midwest. Today, Smithville Marine has grown to one of the largest family-owned dealerships in the Midwest representing Lund and Lowe aluminum boats, Godfrey’s line of Sweetwater pontoons and Hurricane deck boats. Smithville Marine is also one of the few dealerships that continue to sell and service all three major lines of outboard motors – Yamaha, Mercury, and Evinrude.

The Kent and Stacie Hinz purchased Smithville Marine in September of 2016.
